Terms of Service

This Agreement governs your use of the CrossplayDB website (the “Site”), operated by roguewonk (the “Operator”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

1.The Service

The Site is a community-maintained database of video games and their cross-platform play details, provided for informational purposes. You may browse the database freely, and — after signing in with Discord — submit new games or suggest edits.

2.Acceptable Use

You agree not to: submit false, misleading, spam, or infringing content; abuse, scrape, overload, or attempt to disrupt the Site; or use the Site in violation of any applicable law or Discord’s Terms of Service.

3.User Submissions

By submitting or suggesting content, you represent that you have the right to do so, and you grant the Operator a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, edit, adapt, publish, and remove that content on the Site. Submissions are reviewed by maintainers and may be edited, rejected, or removed at any time; the Operator does not guarantee that any submission will be published.

4.Accuracy

Crossplay details change with game updates and may be incomplete or wrong. The Site and its data are provided “as is,” with no warranty of accuracy or completeness. Verify anything important with the game’s official source before relying on it.

5.Intellectual Property

Game titles, logos, cover art, and trademarks belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. The Site’s design, code, and the compilation of the database are the property of the Operator; you may not copy or redistribute the database or Site in bulk without written consent.

6.Accounts

Access to submission features requires signing in with Discord, which also adds you to the Operator’s Discord server. You are responsible for activity under your account.

7.Limitation of Liability

The Operator is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site, including loss of data, profits, or other intangible losses, to the maximum extent permitted by law. The Site is provided on an “as is” basis.

8.Changes & Termination

The Operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site, or revoke your access for any violation of these terms, at any time and without notice.

9.Severability

If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court or arbitrator of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be severed or limited to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

10.Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and any dispute shall be resolved by arbitration under the applicable rules of that jurisdiction.

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the CrossplayDB website (the “Site”), operated by roguewonk, collects and how it’s used. By using the Site, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

When you sign in with Discord: your Discord username and account ID (via Discord’s identify scope). We do not receive your Discord password, and we do not request your email.
When you submit content: the game details you enter, plus your IP address, used to prevent spam and rate-limit submissions.
Automatically: standard server/hosting logs and a session cookie that keeps you signed in.

How We Use It

To operate the Site, authenticate you, publish and moderate submissions, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations. Your Discord username is displayed publicly in association with submissions you make. Your IP address is kept private and used only for security and rate-limiting.

Cookies

We use a single essential cookie to maintain your signed-in session. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third-Party Services

The Site relies on Discord (authentication), Vercel (hosting), and Turso (database). Your data is processed by these providers as needed to run the Site, subject to their own privacy policies.

Sharing

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may disclose it only where required by law or valid legal process.

Retention & Your Rights

We keep your information for as long as needed to operate the Site. You may request deletion of your account data by contacting us; note that this revokes access to submission features and may result in removal or anonymization of your past submissions.

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

The Site is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by Discord in your region.

Changes

We may update this policy and will post the revised version on the Site; continued use constitutes acceptance.
