Terms of Service

This Agreement is entered into between roguewonk (“Bot Owner”) and the user (“User”) of the CrossplayDB Discord bot (the “Bot”). By authorizing or using the Bot, the User agrees to be bound by these terms. If the User does not agree, they must immediately revoke the Bot’s authorization and discontinue use.

1.Purpose and Use of the Bot

The Bot Owner grants the User a non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited license to use the Bot. The primary function of the Bot is to provide OAuth authentication to grant users access to the Bot Owner’s website submission form.

2.Data Collection and Privacy

To facilitate authentication and maintain security, the Bot collects and stores the following information when a User authorizes it:

Discord Username
IP Address

Public Display of Data: The User acknowledges and agrees that their Discord Username will be publicly displayed and associated with any submissions they make on the connected website.

Private Data: The User’s IP Address is used strictly for account verification, security monitoring, and enabling access to the website submission form. The Bot Owner will not sell, lease, or distribute this private data to third parties without consent, except as required by law.

The User may request the deletion of their data at any time by contacting the Bot Owner; however, doing so will revoke their access to the connected website features and may result in the removal or anonymization of their past submissions.

3.Prohibited Use

The User may not use the Bot in any way that violates applicable laws, Discord’s Terms of Service, or infringes upon the rights of others. The User may not exploit, reverse-engineer, or use the Bot for commercial purposes without the express written consent of the Bot Owner.

4.Limitation of Liability

The Bot Owner shall not be liable for any damages arising out of the use or inability to use the Bot or the connected website, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data breaches, loss of data, or other intangible losses. The Bot is provided on an “as is” basis.

5.Modifications and Termination

The Bot Owner may modify or discontinue the Bot at any time without prior notice. This Agreement may be terminated by either party at any time for any reason. Upon termination, the User must immediately cease all use of the Bot and revoke its OAuth access via their Discord settings.

6.Intellectual Property

The Bot and all intellectual property rights therein remain the property of the Bot Owner. The User agrees not to copy, modify, or distribute the Bot or any portion thereof without written consent.

7.Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Texas, United States. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be resolved by arbitration in accordance with the applicable rules of the jurisdiction of Texas.

8.Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements or representations relating to the Bot.

Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use, and sharing of personal information by CrossplayDB, a Discord bot developed by roguewonk. By using CrossplayDB, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.

Information We Collect

We collect information that you provide to us through your use of the bot’s OAuth authorization. Specifically, we collect your Discord username and IP address.

How We Use Your Information

We use your information to operate and improve CrossplayDB, primarily to provide authentication and access to our website submission form. Your Discord username will be publicly displayed on the submissions you make. Your IP address is kept private and used strictly for account verification, security monitoring, and to respond to your requests. We may also use your information to comply with legal obligations.

Sharing Your Information

We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties. However, we may disclose your information in response to legal process or a request from a law enforcement agency or regulatory authority.

Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide CrossplayDB’s services or as required by law. We will delete your information upon your request or when it is no longer needed.

Data Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction. However, no security measure is perfect, and we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and we will post the updated policy on our website. Your continued use of CrossplayDB after we make changes to this policy indicates your acceptance of the revised policy.
